Jupiter Best Bets for Veteran’s Day Weekend!

It’s hard to pick out the best music acts for this Veterans’s Day Weekend, but we’ll try to point out some good ones to see this weekend in the Jupiter area.  Joel DaSilva and the Midnight Howl – Blues of course – gets Friday night off to a great start at 6 PM at the outdoor amphitheater at Harbourside Place, and John Smotherman will be serving up some tasty Blues at Double Roads, followed by Country music from the Andrew Morris Band.  Abacoa has JM and the Sweets at Das Biergarten and the String Assassins – a great acoustic Rock act with their own version of everything!  And Crazy Fingers is making their monthly stop at Maxi’s.

Saturday’s afternoon highlight is The Kinected playing at the annual Chili Cook-Off and Beer Tasting fundraiser in Tequesta ($30), and then they scoot down to Maxi’s.  For night time The Funkabily Playboys will be making a rare North County appearance at Double Roads.

Tribute Bands!

Palm Beach County must be the Tribute Band Capital – maybe because the Boomers and Snowbirds love them?  It all started with Elvis impersonators in the mid 50’s, but now they’re all over the place. This weekend is no exception with Crazy Fingers – a wonderful Grateful Dead tribute band – playing at the PGA Arts Center on Friday evening, and Across the Universe – a great Beatles tribute band back at Double Roads on Saturday!  Next Friday it’s Dreams: Crystal Visions of Fleetwood Mac at PGA Arts.  Go check them out!
